adoption_of_genetically_engineered_crops
Get ERS adoption of genetically engineered crops - the annual share of planted acres in genetically engineered corn, upland cotton, and soybean varieties, by trait and by State, pivoted to a wide layout with the GE traits as columns and years as rows.

Default: corn
Description
Crop whose sheet is retrieved. The crop selects the trait columns and the state option list. Corn and cotton publish four trait columns (Bt only, HT only, Stacked, All GE); soybeans publish only HT only and All GE. Valid crops are:
corn, cotton, soybeans
state: str | None | list[str | None]
Default: United States
State(s) to retrieve, as a comma-separated list of names. The published estimating-program states vary by crop; 'United States' is the national total and 'Other States' is the residual aggregate. If None, defaults to 'United States'. Multiple items allowed.
start_year: int | None
Start year for filtering the data, compared against the observation year. If None, returns from 2000, the first year of the series.
end_year: int | None
End year for filtering the data, compared against the observation year. If None, returns up to the most recent year.
